The relaxing, watery hue of this generously sized 232-square-foot king room is located on the third floor, up two flights of stairs. Enjoy the view of the Piscataqua River and Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Given the age of the inn, this room does have slanted ceilings, as does the walk-in shower in the en-suite bathroom, which may not be comfortable for taller guests. Many guests will enjoy the premium linens with down comforter and pillows, personalized climate control, and streaming-enabled cable TV. This room features an antique armoire and a comfortable lounge chair for reading and relaxing. It also boasts the preserved penciled signature of George Trefethen, who built the three-floor brick home in 1879. This room is perfect for our guests who are history buffs and enjoy the echoes of the past.
