Our Boutique Downtown Hotel Offers

Welcome to the Water Street Inn, the way life should be. This small hotel is tucked along the bank of the sparkling Piscataqua River in Kittery, ME, this historic home reopened as The Water Street Inn in 2018 with all of the conveniences and comforts you’ve come to expect from a modern hotel. Our local and independent inn is a perfect place to stay whether you are visiting on business, with family and friends, or eager for the adventure of a New England getaway. Our waterfront location makes our small boutique hotel the perfect spot to call your home away from home; situated half a mile in either direction from historic downtown Portsmouth, NH and the hidden gem that is Kittery Foreside.

Is there parking?

Our downtown hotel has parking on site for one car per room booked! If our driveway is full, street parking is free, safe and convenient.

How late can I check in?

Self check in starts at 4pm when your access code becomes active. You are welcome to let yourselves in at any point after that, as late as you’d like!

Is there breakfast?

Our boutique hotel offers self serve coffee and tea in our lobby as well as filtered water, ice, fruit, and packaged snacks.

Is it walkable?

Yes! The Water Street Inn is centrally located between downtown Portsmouth and the Kittery Foreside, walking distance to restaurants, shops and historic sites!
